Jessup Residence

Construction continues for this whole house, West Oakwood renovation.  Kent Development Group has spent months weatherizing the exterior of this historical 1920’s Georgian style house.  Exterior improvements include, new copper dormers, rebuilding the chimneys and renovating the decorative box gutter system.  Once the house was dried in, we could focus on the interior renovations including a new kitchen and pantry room to go along with four new bathrooms.  In addition, the hardwood floors were refinished to add to the homes charm.

Blind Bob’s

In September, 2007 the Mendenhall family hired Kent Development Group

Blind Bob's American Tavern

to assist them with the transformation of the former Nite Owl, located in the Historical Oregon District, Dayton, Ohio.  Their goal was to open a casual, comfortable American Tavern consisting of good music, food and beer.  In conjunction with our kitchen consultant, Kevin Cooney, we created a redevelopment plan that addressed their wants and desires.  Through a long and arduous process including zoning and financial setbacks we finally persevered and started demolition Memorial weekend, 2008.  Over 6 dumpsters of debris were removed to uncover the original conditions including hand hewn beams, steel beams, heartwood pine floors and brick walls.  After rebuilding the floor to one height, we crafted a new featured oak bar.  In addition, the kitchen and bathrooms were completely rebuilt.  Even through a tight construction schedule Blind Bob’s was able to open on Labor Day weekend.  Now patrons can enjoy filling food while listening to a diverse lineup of live music.  Stop in and check it out you self.

McCormick Bathroom WindowFor this family of seven, we transformed an existing bathroom and closet into two full bathrooms. The hall bath consisted of 48″x34″ shower, water closet, pedestal sink and built-in wall cabinet. For the new master bathroom, the homeowners asked us to provide them with a ‘nicer’ master bathroom. Therefore we responded with a custom slate tiled shower (7′x4′), painted wood paneled wainscot, custom vanity with granite countertop and undermounted sinks.McCormick Bathroom
