Accountant/Office Manager
The Accounting/Office Manager supports the managing partners of Kent Development Group and ARC, Architectural Reclamation Company by ensuring that the company’s books, records and accounting practices adhere to professional financial procedures and policies. This position is also responsible for maintaining the computer network and smooth operation of the day-to-day business of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of daily accounting using QuickBooks accounting software
- Maintain separate general ledgers for multiple family companies
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow requirements, including lines of credit
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Invoice, collect and monitor accounts receivable
- Verify, pay and monitor accounts payable
- Process payroll using QuickBooks software
- Possess a good understanding of Federal, State and local taxes and corresponding forms and due dates
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office documents
- Prepare complete and accurate monthly financial statements on a timely basis for management analysis
- Coordinate year-end accounting review and tax work with company’s independent outside public accounting firm.
- Accountant/Office Manager should have solid organizational, communication, problem solving and research abilities. It is important candidates be able to “wear multiple hats” and assist in other areas as needed. Office Manager will be responsible for personnel management, incoming and outgoing mail, filing, errands, computer network and answer phones. In addition the office manager will assist on marketing and promoting company.

Construction continues for this whole house, West Oakwood renovation. Kent Development Group has spent months weatherizing the exterior of this historical 1920’s Georgian style house. Exterior improvements include, new copper dormers, rebuilding the chimneys and renovating the decorative box gutter system. Once the house was dried in, we could focus on the interior renovations including a new kitchen and pantry room to go along with four new bathrooms. In addition, the hardwood floors were refinished to add to the homes charm.

Jessup Residence
Construction is complete for the facade improvements to the Washington Township Recreation Center. We started by removing the original, diagonal cedar siding and updating the front elevation to a more contemporary look. Stucco stone was added to the lower portions, standing seam metal roof was added to the overhang and Hardi lap siding was installed to the upper sections.

Starting on August 10th, the ARC (Architectural Reclamation Company) will be deconstructing the two story, four unit stone apartment building located at 121 Salem Avenue. Our deconstruction efforts will include the removal by hand the stone veneer, slate roofing, historical interior trim including oak mantels and doors. Our goal is to pre-sale all the materials on site (available end of August).


Real Art Design Group
In June, 2009 Kent Development Group completed the construction of the 17,800 square foot building for the Real Art Design Group. Their new spaces consist of a large open design studio (addition over the existing CMU building, a new center lunch room area and a new three story residential tower to the west (towards Brixx). The exterior is clad with cement fiber panels, cor-ten steel and stucco. Interior cladding consists of bamboo paneling, MDF paneling and exposed framing.
For this McPherson Town couple, Kent Development Group, applied a new five color paint scheme to their historical residence. In addition to countless hours scraping and preparing the siding, our carpenters reworked/rebuilt the exterior trim, decking and porch railing. The results are a magnificent exterior transformation.
